Kat & Ray's Wedding // Lakeside Thornton Manor // Wirral Wedding Photographers
"Our wedding album was beyond our expectations it made us laugh and cry at all the treasured moments of our day. Can't thank you enough. Zoe and Tom you were amazing xx"
Kat & Ray
Kat & Ray’s beautiful wedding day at Thornton Manor in Wirral was filled with Alice in Wonderland inspired details and handmade touches. The evening reception was then transformed a glamorous 1920’s Gatsby style party!
We couldn't believe how much of the wedding was crafted by talented bride Kat. From the hand-made Harry Potter inspired blue velvet jackets for their two sons, Joseph and Oliver, to the amazing bouquets she created for the bridesmaids and flowers girls. Each one was beautifully adorned with dozens of candy coloured buttons, cute charms and butterflies, we were in awe of her beautiful work and astounded that she managed to make nine! And the details didn't stop there, each table was filled with Mad Hatter tea party inspired decorations, top hats, playing cards, quirky candelabras, teacups, pocket watches, key charms and “drink me” wedding favours. There were even flamingo signs out on the lawn and a Alice in wonderland cake! It was clear to see how much thought and personality they had put into every detail of their day from start to finish. The groomsmen wore silly socks and the girls had an eclectic mix of colourful shoes.
They married at Christ Church in Bebington, Wirral, which was one of the most engaging church ceremonies we have ever seen, the priest even included a music lyrics quiz about love songs! They then jumped in their beautiful, blue vintage VW camper van “Neptune” to head to Thornton Manor for their celebrations. The sun was shining, perfect for their lakeside venue as Spencer the magician delighted their guests with amazing card tricks. We loved that in place of a speech Kat put together a surprise recorded message accompanying a slideshow of photos from their pre wedding shoot also in Wirral, which was then followed by fun video messages from friends and family. Once the sun went down the venue was transformed into a glamorous 1920’s casino with a swing band and Kat and the girls changed into glamorous beaded evening gowns to party into the night!
