Elizabeth & Dan's wedding at Hope Street Hotel, Liverpool

A super relaxed day at Hope Street Hotel in Liverpool

Elizabeth and Dan wanted their day to be super relaxed and informal, changing many of the usual bride and groom formalities to suit them. We always say do your wedding, your way, there are no rules! Ahead of the ceremony, Zoe met Elizabeth and Dan in the hotel reception at Hope Street Hotel so they could do a quick first look with just each other. Then, instead of making an entrance down the aisle with all eyes on them, they decided to greet their guests as they entered the ceremony room instead! It was a pleasure to capture the smiles and surprises on their guest's faces as it was so unexpected.

A very special wedding guest, Eddie the dog

Elizabeth and Dan knew their day wouldn’t be complete without their beloved dog Eddie by their side. Their wedding venue, Hope Street Hotel is dog-friendly and welcoming of furry friends! Like most dog owners, they knew their energetic dog would be a handful so they enlisted the help of a doggy chaperone for the day. It meant they didn’t have to worry about Eddie during the ceremony as he was getting a walk around the streets of Liverpool before joining the reception. Despite being super excited to see everyone, Eddie was a superstar, sitting for group and couple shots before heading home for some dinner.

Gorgeous, carefully considered details

Elizabeth put a lot of time and care into the detailing and styling of their wedding day. Her elegant dress and cape from Ghost were perfectly coordinated with a stunning headpiece from Camille. In the words of the registrar, she looked like a Greek goddess. She chose little touches of blue in the flowers by Norwegian Wood and ribbon bows on the champagne flutes. The elegant styling was complimented with stylish details from Ginger Ray and Papier.

The best view in the city

Hope Street Hotel remains one of our all-time favourite wedding venues. The views from their balconies are unrivalled. From a stunning view of the Metropolitan cathedral to the panoramic view down the Mersey as the sun sets. We are also spoiled for choice with the nearby area, from the Philharmonic Hall, just outside, to the mural at The Buyers Club behind the hotel, there are so many places for cool urban shots of the couple.

Elizabeth and Dan it was a pleasure meeting you both, and Eddie too! Your relaxed day was a joy to capture.
